Fun loving, Elegant and Creative Couple say ‘I Do!’

Fun loving, Elegant and Creative Couple say ‘I Do!’

From the first time we met Keisha, all we could talk about was how lovely she was! Then we met Ryan, and it made sense that two genuinely kind people would find each other. For their big day, Keisha and Ryan were focused on their guest experience- everything they planned was with their loved ones in mind! By creating an overall experience for their guests, they created a relaxed and celebratory atmosphere for their big day!Drew ManorPhoto by Dos ImageryDrew ManorPhoto by Dos ImageryDrew ManorPhoto by Dos ImageryDrew ManorPhoto by Dos ImageryDrew ManorPhoto by Dos Imagery
The bride and groom played an active role in the design and execution of some of the focal items for their wedding. The bridal shoulder necklace worn by the bride was jointly designed by the bride and her mother, and executed by Tameika Fletcher- Birmingham of Bead Cafe. They also collaborated with The Brown Box and Bead Cafe in designing and executing the custom build cake stand.Drew ManorPhoto by Dos ImageryDrew ManorPhoto by Dos ImageryDrew ManorPhoto by Dos Imagery

From the bride… We envisaged a casual, yet elegant affair where traditional elements were brief, with a focus on guest’s comfort and enjoyment from start to finish. Drew Manor provided the perfect backdrop for our vision.
The use of the garden area for our ceremony allowed us to add a whimsical touch, with the use of the confetti cannonball as we were pronounced man and wife. Guests enjoyed infused water, and white wood panel fans. Drew ManorPhoto by Dos ImageryDrew ManorPhoto by Dos ImageryDrew ManorPhoto by Dos Imagery
The wedding book was designed in conjunction with our photographer, Dos Imagery to highlight that “Opposites Attract” and that through the union our whole has become greater than the part.

Our reception was held poolside where we used traditional navy, white and silver with pops of fuchsia pink highlighted with chandeliers. Guests were greeted with custom welcome cocktails, and our lay out was designed with an emphasis on comfort. Food Stations were located around the poolside space, paired with a traditional Indian meal served on sohari leaves. We wanted to stay true to our multi-ethnic roots, given that we were getting married on Indian Arrival day by offering a variety of cuisines. Ending the night with doubles and pies for a late night treat!Drew ManorPhoto by Dos ImageryDrew ManorPhoto by Dos ImageryDrew ManorPhoto by Dos ImageryDrew ManorPhoto by Dos Imagery
Our choreographed first dance was a surprise to our guests, ending with setting off of gerbs [pyrotechnics]. Guests were gifted with ornate jewelry boxes and Italian Almonds, along with decoratively wrapped cupcakes. Drew ManorPhoto by Dos ImageryDrew ManorPhoto by Dos Imagery
We saw the opportunity to juxtapose elegance with an industrial backdrop on the property by creating an Edison Bulb Chandelier, handmade by Ryan [with the assistance of Gerard Medonca].Drew ManorPhoto by Dos ImageryDrew ManorPhoto by Dos ImageryDrew ManorPhoto by Dos ImageryDrew ManorPhoto by Dos Imagery
Advice from the bride & groom…
Find time for you and your spouse during the wedding.. it’s your day, enjoy it! Place the execution and comfort of your guests into the hands of someone who is an extension of yourselves.
Keep God at the centre of your union, and accept people for who they are and not what you want them to be.
